Introductory training program
The Discipling for Development Introductory Training Program (D4D ITP) is a 1-week experience hosted in Atlanta, Ga., designed to introduce you to doing whole-life discipleship alongside communities on the margins by
- Deepening your theology and philosophy of poverty and development
- Engaging you with the foundations of community-based transformation
- Spurring in you greater personal understanding and character growth
This program introduces basics in Discipling for Development's relational approach to asset-based transformation and holistic disciplemaking, an exploration of God's heart for communities pushed to the margins and application for one's local context.
This program is designed for college students, especially those interested in justice, creation care and spiritual formation among communities pushed from economic flourishing.
Key Components
foundational CurriculumYou will go through D4D’s Foundations Workshop, our fundamental lessons led by D4D mentors and practitioners.

FielD VisitsYou will learn through one-time visits to various museums and ministries in Atlanta; through these experiences and as you encounter stories from other multimedia resources and bible studies, you will gain exposure to vulnerable populations and various approaches to development.
